The mission of the Administrative Office Technology program is to prepare students for success in the computerized office through technical training in the proper office procedures and the latest software applications, as well as to ingrain in them the proper ethics and attitudes necessary to succeed in a working environment.
This program is offered in a hybrid format at TCAT-Paris which allows most students to complete part of their training online. Students are reviewed in basic English and math skills, as well as introduced to general clerical tasks and computer usage. First term students are trained in General Office Assistant skills and during their second term, students are trained in Microsoft Office software and its application to common office tasks. After completing both terms' courses, students will be prepared to take the Microsoft Office User Specialist exams for Word and Excel.
